A bluebell walk

Eight members of the walking group enjoyed an amazing bluebell walk on Saturday April 16th, led by Jan Marsden.

We assembled in the car park just north of Blakehurst village.  The weather was  fine and warm, but unfortunately the sun didn’t shine to light up the bluebells. They were really beautiful, just a vivid blue haze as far as you could see with a few white wood anemones on the fringe of the wood.

We all enjoyed a good natter as we walked and got to know each other a little better.  It was good that Gill Chambers was able to join us after her accident.  We all felt refreshed by being in such lovely countryside for two hours.  Many thanks to Jan for organising a perfect walk.
