On Monday evening, August 16th, the last walk of the summer started behind the George & Dragon at Burpham. Ten of us set out through the village along a few country lanes and up a gentle slope to the top of Wepham Down. On our way we saw quite a number of Red Kites, also a few Partridges. We stopped for a breather before making our way back to the village. The view was lovely, we could see Arundel Castle, and in the distance we could make out Butlins white top, also Fitzleet carpark in Bognor. Jan surprised us with a Kit Kat each which was very welcome. Thank you once again Jan. We returned to the village over some fields and down some steep steps, where Jan took these Photos. The weather was cool and a little damp, but on our return to the George & Dragon it was pleasant enough to sit outside for refreshments. I’m sure everyone enjoyed the walk and will be looking forward to the next one.
