On Saturday January 10th, Bognor Regis WI, in association with six other local WIs, hosted the Centenary Baton at a special afternoon meeting.
After the singing of ‘Jerusalem’ (which sounded wonderful in a venue that used to be a church), we heard about the baton’s travels through the country, before 95 members enjoyed the privilege of ‘passing the baton’. Many had dressed in the Centenary colours of green, purple and pearl.

There were then opportunities for photos, before everyone moved into the next room for tea, cake, chat, and an audio-visual show of WI clips and pictures.

It was a wonderful afternoon and thanks go to everyone who helped to make it such as success.
