Competition Cup 2015 – Faberge we ain’t…

At our March meeting every member was given a polystyrene egg and challenged to decorate it in any way they wished for our April competition. They were also asked to consider how they would support their egg, either in an eggcup or a structure integral to their creation.

Many of our members rose to the challenge; and there were some truly stunning entries.

All the egg-scellent entries

Members voted for their favourite, in our traditional manner by placing a button next to it. The three top entries had all given serious consideration to how their egg would support itself and all solved this problem in an unique way.

Many congratulations to our top three for your creativity and ingenuity.

Richard III
1st Place – Annie Smith with the “sun of yolk”, King Richard III
The pink chick
2nd place – Shelia Farmer with her beautiful bird
Suffra-egg and friends
3rd place – Sue Austin with her suffra-egg.

For May’s competition members have been asked to recycle and re-use a plastic bottle, by changing it in to something new – looking forward to seeing their ingenious inventions and creations.
