This month’s zoom with our Craft Queen Sarah saw us tying ourselves in knots of string and wool creating a feather under Sarah’s excellent guidance.
As usual there was a lot of chat and fun while we knotted.
Next month see’s us return to Zen Tangling with Sarah and an additional craft zoom, with new committee member Jen making pendants out of plastic bottles. (we love a bit of up-cycling)

Hallo there! Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your newsey bulletins! Many years ago, when I was young!! – I was founder President of New Alresford W.I. in Hampshire. I was just 34 at the time and had three young children under the age of four! We started off with more than 70 members and to this day it is an active group. I don’t know how I managed to stumble on your newsletter, but here in California (where we now live!) I greatly enjoy them and really miss all the Craft meetings I used to attend. I have joined a quilting group here in the U.S. Everything we make is given away to needy causes – you should see some of the work that is handed in!! Last year our group gave away more than 300 quilts! All fabric has been donated (granny’s attic clearance etc!) and sewing during the lockdown has been a real life-saver for me. I was so sad to hear that the W.I. centre in Oxfordshire has closed down! What a loss. Several of our members took advantage of the courses offered there and went on to put their knowledge to very good use.Keep on posting Bognor – I look forward to visiting some time when we are finally allowed home!.Doreen Stark.Sent from Samsung tablet.

Thank you for your lovely comment Doreen, I am so pleased you are enjoying our website so far away in California. Would it be Ok if I included your comment in a news blog, with a picture of some of your quilts perhaps? If so please send the photo(s) to admin@bognorregiswi.com. Thanks again Kate (website admin)
