BRWI Virtual Competition – My Lockdown Outfit and Why

Thought I could be a Land Girl, digging for victory – GeorgetteI’ve selected it because it reminds me of a fun filled ‘Vintage Weekender’ hosted by Dawn Gracie in October 2019 on Hayling Island. This was my outfit for the 50s evening. Although you can’t see it very well, the dress has a large net underskirt to give movement and swirl when jive dancing. I went with my lifelong friend Yvonne and the outfit reminds me of happy times with her, with the hope that I can see her again before too long, as I’m really missing her during lockdown.
